Apostles' Creed
We confess the universal (catholic) Christian faith.
A I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God
the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian (catholic) Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life T everlasting.
Amen.

A Lord, now lettest Thou Thy servant depart in peace,

for mine eyes
have seen Thy salvation,
which Thou hast prepared
before the face of all people;
a light to lighten the Gentiles,
and the glory of Thy people Israel. Luke 2:29-32
D Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be. Amen.
The Lord's Prayer
A Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil; T
for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.
Amen.
Prayers for others and for oneself.
Closing Prayers
A Almighty God, merciful Father, who created and completed all things,
on this day as the work of our calling begins anew,
we implore You to establish its beginning, direct it, and bless its end,
so that our deeds and actions may be preserved from sin,
our lives sanctified, and our labor this day be pleasing to You;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Luther's Morning Prayer
A I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son,

A Heavenly Father, send Your Holy Spirit into our hearts to direct and rule us according
to Your will, to comfort us in all our afflictions, to defend us from all error,

A Lord Jesus, stay with us, for the evening is at hand and the day is past.

and awaken hope among us, that we may see You as You reveal Yourself
in the Scriptures and in the breaking of the bread.
Grant this for the sake of Your name. Amen.
